I am a 24 year old artist and author, and love all things COLOUR!
I like to constantly explore art through a range of mediums, but predominantly work in acrylic paint, gouache and oil pastel. my art is an abstract exploration of the human experience and nature, texture and colour are important factors for me to consider in my process, using these factors to reflect how vivid the world around us can be, as well as countering in the subjective, objective, postmodernism, and nature.. My degrees in creative writing also help me to approach discussing the human experience through poetry; in a way that can be fit together with my art in ekphrastic form.
I believe art should be deeply connected to community. By creating abstract pieces, I aim to shift away from the expectation of a linear process or the pursuit of perfection. Instead, I aim to embrace an imperfect, 'human' approach, where the focus is on the experience and connection, rather than a flawless final result.
